Celebrate National Medical Assistant Recognition Week With Us!
Michigan Urgent Care is celebrating National Medical Assistant Week October 19-23, and National Medical Assistant Day on October 21. This is a special time of year when we show gratitude and appreciation for the outstanding work medical assistants perform daily to support our medical providers and care for the many patients we see every day.
Medical assistants are truly the heart of health care. They are cross-trained in both medical and clerical duties, making them an integral and highly valued part of our urgent care and occupational health team. Responsible multiple clinic functions and patient interactions include registration, rooming patients, initial review of symptoms or reason for a patient’s visit, referrals, clearly communicating discharge instructions, and follow up phone calls to patients–simply put, without them our clinics would not run as smoothly as they do.
Medical assistants are the folks that patients come in contact with that make them feel welcome and at ease. Their warm and caring manner can make what is sometimes an unpleasant experience, bearable, and they are instrumental in explaining the physician’s instructions. For all of these things we are extremely thankful!
Please join us in celebrating National Medical Assistant Recognition Week & Day by showing your appreciation for the wonderful people who are on the front lines of the healthcare community.
